Our Pastor
Pastor Troy P. Owens, Sr. (Baton Rouge, Louisiana) has been married to his beautiful bride Rachelle (San Diego, Ca) for 41 years. The Lord has blessed this Godly union with three children, two son-in-laws, one daughter-in-law and ten grandchildren.
Pastor Owens has been preaching the Word of God for 38 years and received his seminary training at Southern California Bible College and Seminary in El Cajon California.
Pastor Owens has served in numerous levels of Church ministry and leadership where he uses his God given gifts to enrich and encourage the lives of God’s people. In 1997, by the commandment of God, and under the enabling of the Holy Spirit, Pastor Owens along with several faithful servants of the Lord organized New Life Baptist Church where he now servers as the Senior Pastor. New Life’s motto is, “Building up Believers; Leading the Lost; Aiding the Afflicted; and Glorifying God!”
In Conjunction with his pastoral assignment, Pastor Owens is also a 29 year retired Police Officer Veteran with the San Diego Police Department. Pastor Owens has received numerous distinguished awards and recognition in both the professional and the faith communities.
